Teaser trailer; Scout Taylor-Compton battles a group of backwoods crazies in Bury the Bride, the new horror film from Spider One

Last year, Spider One – the frontman of Powerman 5000 and the brother of fellow musician/filmmaker Rob Zombie – made his feature directorial debut with the horror anthology Allegoria. Now Spider One has made a new horror film called Bury the Bride, and our friends at Bloody Disgusting have confirmed that this one is set to be released through the Tubi streaming service on April 22nd. With just two weeks to go until that date arrives, a teaser trailer for Bury the Bride has been brought to our attention, and you can check it out in the embed above!

Spider One wrote the screenplay for Bury the Bride with Krsy Fox, crafting the following story: Bride-to-be June’s bachelorette getaway turns deadly when her blood-thirsty fiancé and his backwoods friends show up to crash the party. What follows becomes a living nightmare of unholy proportions as June, her sister Sadie and their closest friends fight for their lives, and avenge the ones who don’t make it through the night.

June is played by Rob Zombie’s Halloween star Scout Taylor-Compton, and Fox takes on the role of Sadie. Also in the cast are Dylan Rourke (In the Vault), Chaz Bono (American Horror Story), Lyndsi LaRose (Ant-Man), Rachel Brunner (The Mad Hatter), Cameron Cowperthwaite (Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story), Katie Ryan (Tiny Cinema), and Adam Marcinowski (The Last Deal).

Spider One and Fox produced Bury the Bride through their company OneFox Productions. Bono is also a producer on the film, and so are Ian Hoge and Andy Patch.

I felt Allegoria was a “tolerable time waster” that was worth taking a look at. Even though I wasn’t overly impressed with that one, I am interested in seeing what Spider One does as his directing career continues, so I will definitely be checking out Bury the Bride.

The film is set to have its world premiere at Panic Fest in Kansas City on April 15th, then it will be screening at the Salem Horror Film Fest on April 22nd. The same day it reaches Tubi.
