The secrets of this years I’m A Celebrity just keep on coming.
From whether there was, or wasn’t, heating in camp to the ways the hid private conversations they didn’t want to be aired, the celebs certainly have a lot to spill.
Now, Victoria Derbyshire has revealed a private chat she had with I’m A Celeb runner-up Jordan North BEFORE they entered the castle camp.
During the first episode back in November, Jordan and Victoria were delighted to see each other as it transpired the now BBC Radio 1 DJ worked as an office runner at BBC Radio 5 where journalist Vic was working.
The pair didn’t hide the fact that they knew each other already from the campmates or viewers but it may have been less of a shock if Vic’s latest revelation is anything to go by.
Sharing a screen shot of a private Twitter chat the pair had before the line-up for the ITV reality series was announced to Instagram, the BBC presenter said: “Ha just remembered this – @jordannorth1 and me in quarantine in separate places in Wales skirting around the fact that we were both doing @imacelebrity.”
The screen shot showed a message to Jordan from Victoria that read: “Oh my god are u doing I’m a celeb?!?!?!?!!!”
To which Jordan, 30, replied: “Are you!? Is it true? Xx”
Trying to remain coy, Vic wrote back: “Can’t confirm or deny – same for you?!?!”
With a response from Jordan reading: “Haha yep.”
Victoria, from Bury, didn’t end it their and added: “I bet we’re even near each other RIGHT NOW!!! It’s gonna be the biggest laugh EVER.”
Jordan wrote back: “100%.”
And the rest is history as Jordan quickly became a viewer favourite and made it to the final three.
He was eventually pipped to the post by Queen of the Castle Giovanna Fletcher but he almost wasn’t in the show in the first place.
In interviews since he left the castle, Jordan revealed he was a last-minute replacement and he struggled to decide whether to join the show.
In the end, he has 48 hours notice to prepare which meant he had less time to film his opening titles
