“Adam Driver vs. dinosaurs” movie 65 is getting a digital release tomorrow, and a physical media release will follow later this month

The sci-fi thriller 65, which is also known as the “Adam Driver vs. dinosaurs” movie (even though the filmmakers were hoping to keep the dinosaur element a surprise) reached theatres back on March 10th, and now it’s time for its digital release. Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has confirmed that 65 will be available on digital as of tomorrow, May 2nd. A physical media release on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD will follow on May 30th.

Coming to us from producer Sam Raimi and A Quiet Place (watch that one HERE) screenwriters Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, 65 has the following synopsis: After a catastrophic crash on an unknown planet, pilot Mills quickly discovers he’s actually stranded on Earth — 65 million years ago. Now, with only one chance at a rescue, Mills and the only other survivor, Koa, must make their way across an unknown terrain riddled with dangerous prehistoric creatures.

Beck and Woods wrote and directed the film, which stars the aforementioned Adam Driver of the recent Star Wars trilogy, as well as Ariana Greenblatt (Love and Monsters) and Chloe Coleman (Big Little Lies).

Raimi and Zainab Azizi produced the film for Raimi Productions. Beck and Woods are also producing, under their Beck/Woods banner, alongside Debbie Liebling. Beck and Woods previously worked with Raimi on 50 States of Fright, the anthology series he was producing for the now-defunct streaming service Quibi. That show is now available to watch on The Roku Channel.

Special features on the digital, 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD releases of 65 will include Deleted & Extended Scenes,
Creating the World of 65 featurette, Primordial Planet featurette, Final Showdown: Concepts to Screen, and more.

I didn’t catch 65 on the big screen, but I’ll definitely be watching the movie on home video because I watch anything Sam Raimi puts his name on. Have you seen 65? Will you be watching it on digital or physical media? Let us know by leaving a comment below.
